Entrepreneurship Development And Innovation Institute Scheme / Initiative: Innovation Voucher Programme IVP program is enabled to encourage “Innovative” product development innovators. As part of IVP, there are two types of vouchers: ‘Voucher A’ and Voucher B’. As on date about 250+ beneficiaries have availed IVP vouchers since 2017 a. Voucher A – A grant of Rs 2 Lakhs is awarded to startups in the innovation space for stage 1 aiming to help product research in three installments. The selection process is done by EDII as and when required by convening a selection committee. b. Voucher B – A capital of Rs 5 Lakhs is awarded to startups in the innovation space for stage 1 aiming to help Prototype product development in three installments. SIPCOT – State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Scheme / Initiative: SIIC – SIPCOT Industries & Innovation Center SIIC – SIPCOT Industries & Innovation Center driven by Export Advisory committee has launched two SIICs in Hosur and Sriperumpudur of 25000 sq ft area with infrastructure. – The SIICs’ is to have two model of revenue – Pay & Use model and Co-working space model. They have partnered with Forge (Strategic Partner Incubator) under the brand identity FORT (Force of Rapid Transformation). – FORT is envisioned as world-class incubation centres capable of catalysing industrial transformation in the state to combining manufacturing excellence with technology leadership, entrepreneurial innovation, and future-ready talent. – As part of FORT Innauguration, startups were given an opportunity to present to the investors and given space for exhibiting their products on 14.10.2022 – The list of startups who is benefitted from this SIIC are given. |

Guidance Tamil Nadu Scheme / Initiative : Guidance TN -ATEA Digital Accelarator Grant Guidance Tamil Nadu in collaboration with American Tamil Entrepreneurs Association (ATEA) has set up a Digital Accelerator Program to attract start-ups from the U.S. and in India to start business in Tamil Nadu. – ATEA to provide Mentoring Assistance to Start-ups – ATEA to facilitate funding through Seed Investors, VCs for the Start-ups – Guidance to provide facilitation for Investment – Eligible start-ups will qualify for equity-free reimbursement grant of 10% of the capital raised subject to a cap of Rs 1 crore per start-up. Grant certificates will be issued by Guidance. – As on date, 5 Startups (out of 80 applications) have been granted a total of Rs 3.5 crores for setting up their startup operations in Tamil Nadu. – The second phase has already received 100 applications, out of which 10 have been shortlisted for the evaluation process & sanctioning. |

Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board Scheme / Initiative : Expo on the Alternatives to Single Use Plastics (SUP) and Conference of Start-Ups 2022 Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board in collaboration with Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, organized an “Expo on the Alternatives to Single Use Plastics (SUP) and Conference of Start-Ups 2022” to create awareness among the general public on the ill effects of Single Use Plastics (SUP) and for promoting eco-alternative products manufacturing startups to promote banning of SUPs. The Expo was held for 2 days from 26-27, September 2022 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai. On the first day of the National Expo, the inaugural functions had more than 500 people participated which includes school and college students, Self Help Groups, Industry people, Non- Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Government officials. On the second day of the National Expo, an interactive session was held between start-up business owners and financial institutions, including State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, etc., and entrepreneurs for start-ups in the fields of alternatives to SUPs and air quality management. The discussion focused on the hurdles faced by startup businesses in competing with well-established sectors that sell their products at considerably lower prices owing to lower production cost of plastic products. Each of the panel discussions were attended by more than 150 participants from startup companies, industries, college students and Government officials. |

TIDCO – Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation | Scheme / Initiative: TIDCO – TICEL Bio Park Limited TIDCO in association with TIDEL Park Limited had developed TICEL Bio Park Limited (TICEL) Chennai for providing scientific supports to the bio startups with high-end equipment and carrying out their research / scale up study / investigations by industry / Entrepreneurs for commercialization. TICEL Bio Park – Phase III TICEL Bio Technology Park-III was established in 10 acres land at Anna University campus at Coimbatore at a Project Cost of Rs.85 crores. The total built-up area will be 2,29,000 sq.ft with MSB having Ground + 13 floors. TICEL – Phase III Project was inaugurated on 16th February, 2021. The following companies were benefitted post August 2021.
