Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru M.K. Stalin today handed over cheques to the tune of Rs.95 Lakhs as Grant to 19 selected Startups in the second edition of TANSEED Scheme of Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM) on 23.12.2021 at Secretariat, Chennai.
In line with the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to make Tamil Nadu a Global hub for Startups, the implementation of the second edition of the TANSEED Scheme attracted 640 online applications which were subjected to a rigorous four-stage selection process involving Bootcamp, Pitching, and final selection of 19 Startups by a High-level Jury.
Under this scheme, TANSIM is providing grants of up to Rs. 10 Lakhs to early-stage Startups. The cheques for the first tranche of Rs. 5 Lakhs to each Startups totalling Rs. 95 Lakhs were handed over to the 19 startups by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
TANSIM, also known as StartupTN, works towards the implementation of the Innovation-Driven economy in Tamil Nadu.
TANSIM’s mission is to be a driving force for startups and to build a vibrant start-up ecosystem for employment and economic growth. Based on this, TANSIM is implementing the Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Grant Fund, ‘TANSEED’, as a primary initiative to promote the Startup Culture in Tamil Nadu.
To further motivate the successful progress of early-stage Startups, cheques for the first tranche of the second edition of the TANSEED grant of Rs. 5 Lakhs each totalling Rs. 95 Lakhs were handed over by the Hon’ble Chief Minister to the following 19 Startups.
